Maurice Bone

Maury Bone was born and raised in the Metro-East area of St. Clair County. He attended Washington University and St. Louis University for his undergraduate education and earned his doctor of laws degree at St. Louis University School of Law.
He served in the U.S. Air Force as a combat pilot and military lawyer, both on active duty and in the reserves.
Mr. Bone is a former President of the Illinois State Bar Association. He served on the Board of Governors of the State Bar Association from 1984-1991.
He also served as President of the Illinois Bar Foundation in 1983-84 and was a member of the Board of Directors from 1978-86. He is a Fellow of the Illinois Bar Foundation and a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.
Mr. Bone is a past president as well as a member of the St. Clair County Bar Association and a former member of the Board of Managers of the Illinois Trial Lawyers of America.
He concentrates his practice in tort litigation and real estate. He has lectured and published articles on trial practice.
For many years Mr. Bone was a director of several banks and a trust company in Belleville.
He is the father of four sons, one of whom as a practicing attorney.
